Every Family Should Prepare An ‘Evacuation Box’ In Case Of Emergency

The weather here has been crazy this week. I think we have experienced all four seasons in just a few days.

Keep Your Important Financial Documents In An Evacuation Box

Natural disasters and other catastrophes could require you to leave your home with little or no notice. That is why every family should prepare what we call an “evacuation box.”

Our Father's House Hosts 'Back To School Saturday'

Roz Morgan, director of Our Father's House, said she couldn't compare Warsaw to any other community. "I think we are so blessed to live here," she said. One example of Warsaw's generosity is how the community responds to "Back To School Saturday," hosted by Our Father's House Saturday from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. For the past three years, several families have provided school supplies for children who need them. The families don't ask which school corporation in the county the children come from, they just donate the items.Wal-Mart also has been generous in giving Our Father's House returned merchandise, Morgan said. On Back To School Saturday, in addition to the donated school supplies, children can "shop" and pick out three outfits provided by Our Father's House."Shoes, socks, underwear, the whole nine yards," Morgan said.Parents must accompany their children when picking out clothes.Even though the children will be "shopping," there is no cost.

- Enlightened - Morning-After Pill - On Track - Israel Enlightened Editor, Times-Union: Finally! Someone steps forward and solves the Middle East crisis (stop picking on Israel!), figures out why Bush's ratings are only slightly higher than Nixon's during Watergate (darn liberal press!) and simplifies decades of psychiatric advances to one word (nuts!). Phyllis Barger, thank you for showing us the light.
