Special Prosecutor Named In Case Of Ex-Home Detention Officer

A Whitley County prosecutor has been named a special prosecutor in the case of  a former home detention officer accused of helping an inmate escape and having sex with her, according to Kosciusko County Prosecutor Dan Hampton

David A. Bartley

David A. Bartley, Warsaw, passed away at 6 a.m. March 12, 2017, at his residence surrounded by family at the age of 58.  He was born Nov. 15, 1958, in Warsaw, to Bob Bartley and Sue Ann Harmon Frush. He was married Feb. 19, 1981, to Teddie Ann Zorn, who passed away on July 13, 1999. He married Jill Weaver on Oct. 27, 2011; she survives in Warsaw.

Lady Squires Fall

Bailey Sewell scored 18 points for Manchester in its 50-36 non-conference girls basketball loss at Huntington North Tuesday. The Lady Squires trailed 25-16 at halftime. After outscoring the Lady Vikings 12-10 in the third, Manchester was outpaced 15-8 over the final period.

Hilda S. Earnhart

 Hilda S. Earnhart, 98, Syracuse, formerly of Pierceton, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 12, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse.  She was born Aug. 22, 1918, in Wilmot, to John William and Sadie C. Beezley Scott. She was married on May 12, 1941, in Pierceton, to Hollis F. Earnhart, who preceded her on July 28, 1983. 

Grace, Lutheran Extend Health, Wellness, Athletic Agreement

Grace College & Seminary announced an expansion of its existing arrangement with Lutheran Health Network Kosciusko Community Hospital with a 10-year agreement that includes ongoing support to Grace for health education, wellness, academics, athletic programs and other projects.

WINONA LAKE — Professor of New Testament Studies at Grace Theological Seminary Dr. Matt Harmon released his newest book, “How to Study the Bible’s Use of the Bible,” this fall. Harmon and co-author Dr. Gary Edward Schnittjer explore the Old Testament and New Testament’s use of Scripture, particularly how the study of the former informs the latter.
