Two Arrested on Meth Charges

Kosciusko County officers arrest two individuals this week on meth related charges while they continue to search for a third suspect.

County Jail Bookings The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail: • 1:57 p.m. Tuesday – Cherry Lynn?White, 49, of 115 EMS W30 Lane, North Webster, arrested for  theft. Bond: $5,250. • 3:50 p.m. Tuesday – Jeremy Scott Dingman, 44, homeless, arrested for false identity statement and panhandling. Bond: $450. • 4:04 p.m. Tuesday – Rachel Lynne Stevens, 23, Fort Wayne, arrested for possession of meth. No bond set. • 5:46 p.m. Tuesday – Joshua Adam McIndoo, 33, of 310 S. Lake St., #A, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear, strangulation and domestic battery. Bond: $5,433.  • 9:27 p.m. Tuesday – Gilberto Meza, 28, of 1891 W. CR 700S,?Claypool, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set. • 9:41 p.m. Tuesday – Brian Richard Schuyler, 58, Ossian, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $700. • 10:15 p.m. Tuesday – Ricky Jay Bayne, 57, of 521 N. Colfax St., #D, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set. Property Damage Accident • 9:06 a.m. Tuesday – Intersection of North Buffalo and East Fort Wayne streets, Warsaw. Car hit parked vehicle registered to Bradlee Quick, Fort Wayne. Driver: Perry Peoples, 61, Indianapolis. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

An alleged stolen identity led to deception and forgery charges against a Warsaw man.

Doctor's Office Employee Faces Drug Charges

A former employee of a Warsaw doctor's office faces charges after allegedly ordering prescription drugs while posing as an employee authorized to place the order. Sylvia J.Gargett, 52, of 6977 E.Waco Drive, Syracuse, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Saturday night on two counts each of identity deception and attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud and one charge of attempted theft.All of the charges are Class D felony offenses, each punishable by up to three years in prison.Gargett was released from custody after posting a $2,000 bond. According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Kosciusko Superior Court I, Gargett was employed by Dr.Roberta E.Rose, an orthopedic surgeon in Warsaw, from 1989 through 2000.Gargett worked as an assistant bookkeeper until she was terminated on July 27, 2000, for violation of office policies.

Editor, Times-Union:There have been recent news reports concerning a decrease in the incidence of breast cancer with relation to a decrease in hormone usage.

Police Seek Leads In North Webster Robbery Try

Police are seeking the public's help in learning the identity of an attempted armed robber. The drawing is a computer-generated composite of the possible suspect. According to Detective Sgt.Todd Sautter of the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, the woman went to the home of an elderly North Webster man about 10:50 p.m.Dec.3 and asked to use the telephone.She told him her name was Monica. The man let the woman into his home and went to retrieve the telephone.When he turned around, she reportedly was holding a knife with a 5-inch blade.The victim told the woman to leave and she did. The woman is believed to be in her mid-teens to early 20s and is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with brown hair.At the time of the incident, she was wearing a Starter coat with a shiny material. Anyone with information as to the identity of this suspect is asked to contact Sautter at 267-5667.
