SILVER LAKE – Area police are investigating an early morning robbery and auto thefts that occurred in Kosciusko and Wabash counties overnight.

Humpty Dumpty Drive, Cromwell, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $600. • 2:01 p.m. Thursday – Michael Alan Kuta, 42, of 3792 E. Old 30, #598, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $676.75 • 6:46 p.m. Thursday – Kerry Edward  Fribley, 32, of 301 E. Himes St., North Webster, arrested for theft with a prior and two counts of failure to appear. Personal Injury Accident • 4:31 p.m. Thursday – Intersection of North Detroit and Jaylynn streets, Warsaw. Four-vehicle collision. Drivers: Edna Hochstetler, 69, Shipshewanna; Shawn Ruegner, 37, Glad Street, Warsaw; John Moneyheffer, 69, CR 700N, Leesburg; Antonio Aguirre, 46, Union Street, Warsaw. Injuries: Hochstetler was taken to Parkview with injuries to her chest; Ruegner complained of pain to his shoulder and upper arm and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage: $10,000 to $25,000. Warsaw Police Department Investigated.  Property Damage Accidents • 9:27 a.m. Thursday – 2501 Walton Blvd,  Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Joann Beachy, 67, CR 400N, Etna Green; Frank Desanto, 71, Evergreen Drive, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. WPD. • 1:30 p.m. Thursday – Intersections of CRs 200W and 1000S, Silver Lake. Car struck a post. Damage: $5,000 to $10,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.  • 8:53 p.m. Thursday – Intersection of Ind. 13 and CR 200N, North Webster. Car hit deer. Driver: Shannon Hovenden, 22, CR 100S, Claypool. WPD.  • 3:14 p.m. Tuesday – Police responded to a report of battery on an endangered adult in the 3100 block of Heron Boulevard, Warsaw. WPD. • 9:37 a.m. Tuesday – A resident reported a fraud in the 100 block of Yvonne Street, Leesburg. KCSD.  • 9:01 p.m. Tuesday – A resident reported theft of a firearm in the 2500 block of Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. WPD. • 10:54 a.m. Wednesday – A resident reported theft of medication from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Provident Drive, Warsaw. WPD. • 11:49 a.m. Wednesday – A resident reported a fraud in the 100 blockiof EMS C28 Lane, Warsaw. Armed Robber Hits Mini Mart In Mentone

MENTONE - An armed robbery took place at Sands Mini Mart at 11:30 p.m.Wednesday. A male subject entered the store, brandished a gun and demanded money. The suspect took the money and fled the scene on foot.He remains at large. The total taken in the theft was unavailable this morning. The Mentone Police Department was assisted by Kosciusko, Marshall and Fulton County sheriffs' departments and the Indiana State Police. The robbery remains under investigation.

Ex-EMS Director Sentenced

The former director of South Central Emergency Medical Service was sentenced Monday to 1-1/2 years in prison for theft, a Class D felony. Kurt Owens, 34, previously pleaded guilty to taking money collected for a 9/11 relief fund after the 2001 terrorist attacks in New York, Washington, D.C.and Pennsylvania. Owens took between $5,000 and $6,000 in funds intended for relief efforts and he also was accused of writing checks on the EMS account for his personal use.

Police Seek Information About Infant

Warsaw Police are seeking any information regarding the woman pictured above. She identified herself as Sonia Olera Aguillar, though that may or may not be her legal identity.She is 4 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds and is of Mexican descent.Police believe she is 23 years old and has a small child somewhere in Warsaw. Aguillar is in Kosciusko County Jail after a shoplifting incident and is unable to tell police where she lives.Police are worried about the well-being of the child, believed to be 12 months old or younger.Call Warsaw Police at 372-9511 if you have informatiion.
