2002 Parade Site Selected

The Builders Association of Kosciusko-Fulton Counties recently announced that Pheasant Ridge is the site for the 2002 Homes on Parade Sept.7-14. Pheasant Ridge is a new site south of Warsaw.Final work on the infrastructure is being completed, then the streets will be finished.Brad and Bruce Jackson, T.L.Jackson Construction, are the developers of Pheasant Ridge. The Builders Association is pleased that the parade will be in the city of Warsaw.Having city water and sewer for their projects allows the builders more options for home and landscape designs and lowers the expense from private utilities.The last parade in the city was in 1991 at Patterson Place. The developers of Pheasant Ridge have proposed several new ideas this year, such as landscaped ponds, continuous sidewalks, a nature walk path and lighted streets for security.The Builders Association is anticipating a successful 17th Homes on Parade.

Bank Seeks To Foreclose On Prairie View

KeyBank is seeking to foreclosure on the mortgage it holds on Prairie View Nursing Home in Warsaw and to place the business in receivership.More than $1.7 million remains due on a $2 million promissory note taken out in 1988. A lawsuit filed recently in Kosciusko Circuit Court names Landmark Health Care Associates, L.P., the James R.Bradbury Trust and Landmark Health Care Fixed Income Fund, L.P., as defendants in the case.Landmark Associates is an Indiana limited partnership that owns Prairie View, and the trust and Landmark Fund are made parties to answer as to any interest they may have in the real estate.

Wawasee Discusses Admin. Contracts

SYRACUSE - The subject of administrative contracts was brought up again at Tuesday's Wawasee school board meeting, and this time the board unanimously approved the contract extensions with little fanfare. Earlier in the spring, the board outraged many local patrons when they did not approve contact extensions for all school administrators. In addition to the contract extensions, Superintendent Dr.Mark Stock also recommended shuffling some of the principals to different schools due to the retirement of Syracuse Principal Sue Rathke and Assistant Superintendent Russ Mikel moving to become superintendent at Bremen.
