Due to tie votes, pupils at those schools were asked to send in another ballot and they were being counted today. New names for the East Ward and Center Ward schools will be announced soon.75 Years AgoAll of the home economics clubs of Kosciusko County met recently for all-day meeting in the Warsaw city hall, for their first meeting of this year. The clubs have planned a Third Year Nutrition project for this coming year.Eighteen clubs from various townships of this county are represented. The county president, Mrs. J.E. Baer, of Warsaw, was in charge of the business meeting. Miss Aneta Beadle from Purdue University was the speaker and talked on "Posture, in Relation to Health."

NAPPANEE – Anna E. Borkholder, 85, of 2058 E.B. Road, Bremen, died at 10:15 p.m. Jan. 19, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, where she lived since July. She suffered a stroke June 20, 2012.

Warsaw head volleyball coach Mike Howard announced his resignation from his position with the Lady Tigers' program, sharing this decision with his team at Monday night's team awards ceremony. Howard guided the Tigers for eight seasons, twice earning Northern Lakes Conference Coach of the Year honors, and Warsaw compiled an impressive 206-58 mark and two NLC titles from 2008 to this past season.
