Warsaw Man Charged with Incest

A Warsaw man has been arrested and formally charged with felony incest after a Warsaw Community High School student reported he had sex with her some 36 times.

Stabbing victim arrested for burglary

The Warsaw teen who was critically injured in an April stabbing has been arrested on burglary charges after Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. officers linked him to a pair of mid-April thievings from local homes.

T-ball will include girls and boys who have finished grades K-2 this year. The program will take place at the Lincoln Elementary School baseball diamonds. The program will be identical in philosophy to the YMCA Indoor Soccer and YBL programs in that all children play the same amount of time, and skill, teamwork, sportsmanship and fun are emphasized. Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served to the guests. Those present included: Max Weirick, Carl Weirick, Harold Wagner, Don Snyder, Jack Clark, Earl Konkle, Lake Clark and the Misses Jane and Juanita  Clark. The honored guest was the recipient of several nice gifts.

Man Arrested for Armed Robbery Over Weekend

A Syracuse man was arrested early Saturday after allegedly holding up a Warsaw Walgreens store. Philip M. Oest, 23, of 5270 E. Bayview Drive, Syracuse, is being held on charges of robbery, theft from a business and theft after a Syracuse police officer pulled him over a half hour after a reported armed robbery of the Walgreens at 2400 E. Center St., Warsaw.

Theft Charge Leads to Meth Ingredient Arrest

A Fort Wayne man was arrested Friday afternoon for allegedly shoplifting meth-making products. Donald Robert Purdy, 42, faces preliminary charges of possession of precursors, conversion and theft, after a loss-prevention employee at the Menards at 1000 Husky Trail reportedly watched him open and pocket lithium batteries while in the superstore.

Cop Beat: Discovered Bone To Be Examined

LEESBURG – A bone that resembles a human tibia will be shipped off to a forensic anthropologist next week.
