Grace’s women’s basketball team continued its hot start, defeating No. 21 Huntington 88-73 on Saturday. The Lady Lancers’ top scoring threats put on a sizzling performance. Vironnica Drake and Kamryn Hostetler each topped 20 points with Kyannah Stull right behind at 19.

Lancer Men’s Basketball Prevails In Crossroads Thriller

Grace’s men’s basketball team won a thrilling contest over Huntington 73-71 on Saturday afternoon. Jaret Sons hit a pair of free throws with less than a second left to secure the dramatic victory.

Manchester Basketball Tops Rose-Hulman

Manchester University battled past visiting Rose-Hulman on Wednesday night, earning a hard-fought 83-77 victory over the Fightin’ Engineers in both teams’ Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opener.  The win on Wednesday night was the Spartans’ first victory over the Fightin’ Engineers since January 2017.

Strong Second Half Leads To Lancers’ Win

The Grace College men’s basketball team picked up their second straight Crossroads League victory with an 81-79 defeat at Taylor on Tuesday. The Lancers (6-3, 2-0 CL) used a second-half surge, outscoring the Trojans 49-32 after the intermission to remain perfect in early conference play. Grace won its first two league games for the first time since 2007-08, when current head coach Scott Moore was a senior point guard for the Lancers. Haden Deaton was a force on Tuesday night with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Jaret Sons added 19 points of his own to go along with six rebounds.

Sports Betting Has Arrived In The Hoosier State

Indiana lawmakers cleared the path for Hoosiers to start laying down their hard-earned dollars on sporting events last spring. So far, it seems to be a well-received idea here. Governor Holcomb signed a bill in May to make it legal to place a bet on professional and college sporting events starting this fall, and the early results are mind-blowing.

After Court Dedication, Warsaw Rolls Past Vikes In Season Opener

For two quarters of Wednesday night’s high school boys basketball season opener, the Warsaw Tigers and Tippecanoe Valley Vikings were even on the scoreboard. The other two quarters … not so much, as the Tigers dominated the middle quarters en route to a 61-37 win on a night Valley officially dedicated its court in honor of longtime broadcaster and popular community figure Rita Price Simpson.
