At 300 E.Prairie St., Warsaw, you can visit Prairie View Health Care Center. Not so long ago, we placed my father-in-law in Prairie View Health Care Center. He has Alzheimer's.It has just an awful grip on him, that we could no longer keep him in our home.At first he did belong here, but as Alzheimer's continued to take control, we needed more help.

At first, Beanie Babies were a nice plush item with a reasonable selling price.Then it hit! We placed orders every two or three days, all to no avail.They simply couldn't ship out as quickly as the orders poured in.

Let us be more specific.Last fall we were notified of the request to have the neighboring 10 acres of land rezoned for the purpose of a housing addition.Twenty neighboring farmers and landowners showed up at the hearings to voice their concerns.

The winners were: Age 8-9, boys, Todd Neeley, Akron Elementary, girls, Amanda Hughes, Mentone Elementary; Age 10-11, boys, Preston Studebaker, Akron Elementary, girls, Kasa Kramer, Mentone Elementary; Age 12-13, boys, Trey Eaton, Valley Middle School, girls, Kelly Sanders, Valley Middle School. 25 Years Ago December 31 1982 Tammy Henry, of Warsaw, was named winner of The Times-Union Christmas coloring contest. Her entry was picked as the best from among more than 50 contestants, narrowly edging Tony Oler of Warsaw for the top prize. Tammy says she plans to use the $25 first prize to buy pizza for her family, with the possible exception of her brother, Ryan. Her parents are Terry and Peg. 50 Years Ago December 31 1957 Lavon Harman, 6-foot, 6-inch, 220-pound sophomore from Warsaw, is on the Ball State College varsity basketball team as a center this year. Harman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Harman, of near Warsaw. His father is Center Ward school principal. Big Lavon was a four-year letterman in basketball for Warsaw High School. 75 Years Ago December 31 1932 Mrs. T.M. Raker, of Silver Lake, for more than 50 years a reader of The Times and Indianian, visited the county seat today and also took occasion to visit The Times office.

Foundation Gets $1 Million Gift

The Kosciusko County Community Foundation received a $1 million distribution this week from the Betty Jane Clover Trust.

I assume you meant to say the "discharging of" as it is illegal for a city, town or community in the state of Indiana to pass any sort of firearm prohibition due to the state's Firearm Pre-emption Law.
