- After-Prom - Safe Haven - BABE Thanks - Silent Majority After-Prom Editor, Times-Union: The WCHS Parent Teacher Organization is again sponsoring the after-prom at the career center gym at the high school on May 11 from 12:30 to 3:30 a.m.All WCHS juniors, seniors and their dates are invited to attend, whether or not they attend the prom.Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased at the WCHS bookstore. A variety of activities are planned: karaoke, casino games, video games, "Sumo wresting" and a hypnotist.An auction will be held where students can use the play money they win during the evening to bid on various items that have been donated by businesses and individuals from our community.There will also be door prizes given away throughout the night.

My mailbox, and several others along our road, has been destroyed again.This is the sixth time in eight years that we have had to replace our mailbox.That does not include repairs made to a damaged mailbox.I cannot count the number of times I have repaired the mailbox or had it repaired by my son or friends. If anyone knows how I may stop this destruction, please let me know.

First of all, as I said, my son was being a disruption in school.But I also said that his biggest problem is that he is a follower, not a leader, and until the problem is addressed as a whole by all parents and teachers and administrators working as a team, then it is hard for some of us who care to help.It's time we let these kids know that we are going to take control and take our school back. When I shadowed my son on Friday at school I didn't know what to expect.What I saw was totally disgusting.I saw absolutely no respect for the teachers or other students.
