June found the heart-shaped vegetable in a bag of potatoes she bought at Owen's Supermarket. 25 Years Ago February 6 1983 On Feb. 6, North Manchester's Junior Miss, Linda Sittler, 17, senior at Manchester High School, will be leaving for the state Junior Miss "Magic Kingdom" held in Frankfort. Sittler is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sittler, Silver Lake. 50 Years Ago February 6 1958 Two Warsaw High School alumni, Bob Burt and Harry Keffer, have been named co-editors of the 1958-59 Aurora, the Manchester College annual. A few years back both worked on the Warsaw Tiger. Now they are juniors in pre-med and roommates at college. Bob is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Burt, 324 S. High St., and Harry's parents are the Rev. and Mrs. Archie B. Keffer of Sidney. 75 Years Ago February 6 1933 In the event that the farmer who lost a buck ram a few days ago does not claim the animal, which is in the city dog pound, the men at the Warsaw municipal lodging house will have mutton chops, steak and ram stew. Police Officer Ivan Ginn, when patrolling the city in the police car late in the evening, discovered the strayed ram near the Busy Bee restaurant. Persons in the vicinity of the restaurant loaded the ram into the rear seat of the police car, because the ram was endangering traffic. Officer Ginn took the unwilling passenger at once to the pound. Any farmer who has lost a ram should bet in touch with Officer Ginn or the police department.
