Grace’s men’s basketball team was unable to secure the season sweep of No. 16 Marian, falling 82-67 on Tuesday. The No. 9 Lancers (18-5, 7-4 Crossroads League) shot under 30 percent on 3-pointers and committed 13 more turnovers than the Knights (15-4, 7-4 CL).

Grace’s women’s basketball picked up its fifth straight victory with a 68-58 win over Mt. Vernon Nazarene on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Lady Lancers (15-7, 5-5 Crossroads League) move into fifth place overall in the Crossroads League and are tied for the third-most wins.

Tiger Girls’ Hoops NLC Champs For First Time Since 2013

The Warsaw Tigers girls’ basketball squad had much cause to celebrate in the nightcap of the boys’ and girls’ basketball doubleheader in the Tiger Den Saturday night. They started the evening honoring five senior athletes and finished the evening hoisting the Northern Lakes Conference (NLC) championship trophy following their 60-24 victory over the Concord Minutemen.

Chip Shots: Tiger Baseball Facilities, Playing The Hand You’re Dealt

There are numerous recent and in-progress renovations among Warsaw Community High School’s athletic facilities. A new tennis court is due for completion by the arrival of the spring sports season. The school added the Tiger Recreational Athletic Center during the 2019-2020 scholastic athletic season. The new painting and woodwork on the TCU Court in the Tiger Den looks sharp, too. What’s next on the construction/renovation horizon for Warsaw Community High School? How about baseball?
