God's Everywhere

God's EverywhereEditor, Times-Union:I fear for our country today and for the future of our grandchildren. Everyday it seems we hear of "God" being taken out of something else. It saddens my heart and sickens my soul.God cannot, nor will he continue to bless a country that does not welcome his presence. A world without God is a world without hope.I want to share this little article with you. A father wanted to read a magazine, but was being bothered by his little girl, Shelby. She wanted to know what the United States looked like. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his new magazine, on which was printed the map of the country. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Shelby and said "Go into the other room and see if you can put this together. This will show you are whole country today." After a few minutes, Shelby returned and handed him the map correctly fitted together. The father was surprised and asked her how she finished so quickly. "Oh," she said, "on the other side of the paper was a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where he belonged then our country just came together."I think she had the right idea.Charlene WithamMentone
