Art Fair Proceeds Given To Pierceton Foundation

PIERCETON - This summer's art fair generated $700 for the Pierceton Community Foundation. The foundation is community service oriented, providing funds for utility payments to eligible residents or helping a family whose house was destroyed by fire. The July 23 art fair was sponsored by the Pierceton Community Association.Plans are to have the event again July 22 in Brower Park. At a meeting Thursday, it was noted the foundation has been without funds for the last few years.

Bronsing Plans Syracuse Meeting

Jeff Bronsing, a candidate for sheriff of Kosciusko County, will kick off his campaign Thursday in Syracuse. Bronsing, a longtime patrolman with the sheriff's department, will meet with the public at 7 p.m.Thursday at Lakeland Youth Center. Bronsing will discuss various issues and will offer voter registration forms. Bronsing is running on the Democrat ticket and is one of seven candidates seeking to replace Al Rovenstine, who is in his fourth term and not running again.
