- Molesting - Rebate Molesting Editor, Times-Union: This is in response to Kerry Mills' letter published on March 17 about stereotyping gays with molestation. Kerry, a child molester can play any role within a community or a family.Regardless of their supposed sexual preference, straight or gay, a child molester is a sick, sick individual who needs serious help. Committing such a devastating act against an innocent child who knows only to trust his molester can be worse than committing any other crime against the child. This child will live with, and struggle with, the scars that this molester has permanently etched in his mind for the rest of his life. The child has lost confidence, trust and worst of all, his innocence.

- Defense Of Opinion - Monitor Downtown Parking - Outraged - Nuclear Option - Shop With A Cop Defense Of Opinion Editor, Times-Union: I would like to say a few things in Gene May's defense. In defense of his constitutional right to freedom of speech and his undeniable right to freedom of thought. Although I have not read that many of his letters it has been brought to my attention that he is now receiving hate mail as a result of his criticism of the Bush administration and his views of spirituality. This is abhorrent in and of itself regardless of the extremity of his views.

- Gas Tax - CR 450E - Theft From Roving Chef - Thanks To Warsaw Fire Dept. - Religious Debate - Flag Etiquette Gas Tax Editor, Times-Union: You recently ran a letter from watchdog Aaron of Lebanon who indicates that Representatives Wolkins and Friend have explaining to do for voting in support of a 2-cent gas tax increase. He attempted to connect the passage of HB1004, the governor's $2 billion tax increase/tax restructuring bill, to our support for the gas tax increase.First, the governor's bill passed by only one vote and has virtually no chance of becoming law.Representative Friend and I voted against it because it raises in excess of $2 billion more than it gives for property tax relief.

- U.S.30 - Liberal Thought - Father's Day - Right To Dissent - AWL U.S.30 Editor, Times-Union: I really enjoy the opinions column, particularly on days when it's filled with a variety of hodgepodge. The subject of traffic deaths out on 30 is just about boring me to tears.People die in traffic accidents every day. An article on Thursday's front page caused me to ask myself a question. The article was titled "Warsaw Man Charged with Dealing Cocaine."The question is for the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force.Just how big of a bite out of crime would you be willing to take to rid Warsaw of this cocaine problem? To publicly humiliate the guy selling it by printing his name on the front page was a real good step one. This is my suggestion for step two.
