Charlene Cook, 70, Warsaw, passed away at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017, in Warsaw Meadows Healthcare Center. On Oct. 4, 1946, she was born in Dumas County, Ark., to Fred Allen and Gertrude Ledbetter Smith. She was united in marriage to David Michael Cook on Oct. 19, 1973, in Warsaw. He survives.
Colin Gordon Bates was born April 7, 1961, in Summit, N.J., to the late Joel G. Bates, originally from Syracuse, and Dolores Marie Chelko Bates of Natrona Heights, Pa.
Tim L. Drake, 61, Silver Lake, died at 3:55 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. He was born July 20, 1956, in Elkhart. He married Sue Watson on Jan. 16, 1999, in Kosciusko County. She survives.
Norman E. Brown, 89, Warsaw, passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at 4:02 p.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born Sept. 10, 1928, in Warsaw, to Roscoe and Nellie Ellis Brown. A lifetime area resident, he was formerly employed by the Oasis Club, the Elks Club and Holiday Inn, all of Warsaw, as a bartender.
Robert E. “Bob” Hull, 97, the youngest child of Ernest and Lydia Hull of Warsaw, passed away Feb. 22, 2018, at home surrounded by his family. Bob served in the Marine Corps in World War II in Australia, the North Somalia Islands and the Pacific area for four years; and was a lifetime member of Post 49, Warsaw.
Ronald “Ron” Hoppas, 77, of San Marcos, Calif., passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10:25 a.m. in his home. He was born May 18, 1940, in Kosciusko County to Chester and Faye Deafenbaugh Hoppas.
