- Prescription Drugs - Honest People - Thanksgiving - Akron Parents Prescription Drugs Editor, Times-Union: To all my fellow Americans: When are we in this great United States going to wake up and tell our government what is good for this country? We are paying out the nose for prescription drugs, clothes, gas and food, and too many things to write in one letter. It's OK to buy shoes from Taiwan, China, Indonesia, etc.; we are forced to buy things made in foreign countries that used to be made right here in our country, let alone all the jobs we have lost to businesses moving out to others.
- Dancing Grannies - Thanks To EMS - Ashcroft Nomination - Mainstream Dancing Grannies Editor, Times-Union: I would like to know if there are any grandparents out there who enjoy dancing to the old "oldies."If so, the Warsaw Dancin' Grannies and Grandpas need more dancing feet.No experience is necessary. We are a nonprofit group so there is no charge to you.We do a variation of line dancing to the oldies. The benefits are many: fun exercise, a definite mood lifter, a big smile, a tapping toe from a nursing home resident and a guarantee to get rid of the winter doldrums. We entertain at parties, nursing homes, clubs, reunions and have danced at the Indiana State Fair for the past nine years.
- Only A Junior - Israel Only A Junior Editor, Times-Union: "A Star Is Born" The above title, "A Star Is Born," does not justify the magnitude of this particular person, namely Shanna Zolman. It should have read, "A Super Star Is Born" and she is only a junior. This is a tribute to a once in a lifetime happening in our small Milford-Syracuse community. Every time she appears on the basketball court, she excels in a fashion like no other in the history of this sport in our entire area, and she is only a junior. With her unselfishness on the court, her noted team play is far overlooked by her critics.I have seen her pass up many, many lay-ups, only to give the ball to one of her teammates in order to preserve unity on the team.Without a doubt, she is the crown jewel of basketball in the entire state and she is only a junior.

- Praying For America - IPFW In Warsaw, Too - Let Kids Be Kids - Also Tired Of ... Praying For America Editor, Times-Union: We are praying for America because of the national sin of abortion, especially on this infamous day marking 30 years of murdering our weakest citizens. While our federal government has legalized selective murder at home, it goes about to unseat Saddam Hussein who has murdered his own citizens. Is not America's slaughter of babies the worse crime? It is said that abortion should remain safe and legal.Where is the safety for the little boy or girl? And who made it legal but unjust judges.
- Cubs - Vegetable Stand - Hand Avenue - Prescription Drugs - Party Switching - IPFW Play - More IPFW Play Cubs Editor, Times-Union: Bob Plummer of Warsaw was bragging that the Cubs were on their way to the pennant.Oh great news! The Cubs are always on their way to the pennant.Nothing would ruin the ambiance of being a Cub fan more than for them to actually win the thing.

- Wolkins Responds - Recycling - Medicare Wolkins Responds Editor, Times-Union: Re: Educational/Legislative priorities debate Mr.Musgrave cited low pay for professors at IU and Purdue and low teacher salaries as proof education is not a priority.Facts: IU professors average $105,000+, Purdue $106,000+.The top 861 salaries at IU average $126,000 plus benefits.Indiana teachers earn an average of $43,000, ranking 16th in the U.S., 10th when low cost of living in Indiana is figured in.Indiana spends $5,700 average per student now, $3,724 in 1993, a 49 percent increase in 10 years.Mr.Musgrave, fabricating a quote and attributing it to me was a cheap shot and only hurts your credibility.
- Passion Play - Medicare - Election Reform - Write Soldiers - Tiger Cheers - Robbery - Witness Wanted - Flag Etiquette Passion Play Editor, Times-Union: I am not terribly impressed by the oncoming Oakwood "Passion Play"; that is, I am not impressed over the fact that the whole thing is being so commercialized.
- Freedom - Assimilation - Sentencing Freedom Editor, Times-Union: As a Gold Star wife of the Vietnam era I would like to personally thank all of the people involved in the planning and those who participated in the War Memorial Rededication Ceremony. Although I have not lived in Warsaw for a very long time, my family and roots are firmly planted in the soil of Kosciusko County.
- Congrats To Warsaw Tigers Congrats To Warsaw Tigers Editor, Times-Union: As the clock ran off the final seconds of the Tigers game at Huntington, my heart pounded and my mind raced back over the years of our son's football. This was the end of Dan's career in the Warsaw football program. He had started in Pee Wee and gone all the way to varsity starter in his senior year. Dan played in large part because a friend - John Miller - told us, "That boy could play any sport he wants to" when he was just 10 years old and in his first year of Little League.John sent his daughter across town on her bicycle that August with the Pee Wee registration forms for Dan and Jonathan. We hadn't intended to let the boys play football ("too dangerous").But John persuaded us.The boys loved it.
- Earth Charter Fraud - Ivy Tech Expansion - Tired Of ... - Silver Lake Thanks - U.S.Must Deal With Threats From Iraq, North Korea Earth Charter Fraud Editor, Times-Union: Most people have never heard of an Ark of Hope, or the Earth Charter. The Ark of Hope is a 49" x 32" x 32" wooden vessel that contains the Earth Charter document. It is a design copy of the Biblical Ark of the Covenant, which housed the 10 Commandments. Aside from their shape and name, the two relics have little in common.Today's imitation mocks God's truth and honors the world's spiritual alternatives. We need to understand the significance of this pagan ark and how it is likely to severely impact our lives.
