- Thanks To KCH Staff - Hunting Preserve - School Numbers Thanks To KCH Staff Editor, Times-Union: Our beloved mother, Essie Poe, recently suffered a stroke and was admitted to KCH for medical intervention.While she was a patient at KCH, she received the utmost professional as well as supportive service and care.We cannot fully express the gratitude we would like to extend to the board of directors and their staff members for attempting to make our mother as comfortable as possible during her final days.

- School Policy - Cardinal Thanks - Witch Hunts School Policy Editor, Times-Union: First of all, I am assuming that the article in the paper was an accurate representation of what Mr.Chamberlain stated.I was not at the meeting, but feel that this is warranted.Do you have something better to do with your time, Mr.Chamberlain? Are you a member of the school board to help or just to get what you want? I am appalled by the reference he made about "eager to move forward on the recommendations as outlined by the superintendent....Failure to move forward is detrimental to the continued vitality of the school corporation and the community.

- Hunting, Property Rights - Cable Subscriber - Medicaid Eligibility - REAL Services Thanks - Any Caliber Hunting, Property Rights Editor, Times-Union: On Jan.5, Barbara Kintzel and Mary Plew had letters printed in the Opinion section of the Times-Union about a hunting preserve near Pierceton.Their letters contained mostly false and/or misleading information, I was offended and appalled that they are spreading such erroneous information. Everyone who hunts in Indiana must follow laws set forth by Indiana Department of Natural Resources.The rules are specific that only certain caliber guns and types of bows are allowed.Sportsmen and sportswomen must abide by all regulations set forth by our state IDNR.

- Save Claypool School - Call Your Congressman Save Claypool School Editor, Times-Union: I am so happy to see the outpouring support to save our school.I know that the vote was completed, I was there.I also know that it is honorable to say you have made a mistake and slow down and think out a more sensible solution.Claypool Elementary is a great school, with a great staff and wonderful facilities.It is in a great location, and it seems illogical to just shut it down and move all those kids to an already overcrowded school.I went to Claypool all of my elementary years and am thrilled that my children are going to such a fine school.

Having asthma, I knew I wouldn't be able to shovel it out.Usually I can just drive my car back and forth and flatten it out with tire tracks, but it was just too full this time.So Sunday morning I was sitting in my living room praying to God that he would make the sunshine melt the snow before I had to leave for work Monday morning.

Thank you for helping the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon raise a record $54,610,289 in pledges and contributions.
