- School Policy - Cardinal Thanks - Witch Hunts School Policy Editor, Times-Union: First of all, I am assuming that the article in the paper was an accurate representation of what Mr.Chamberlain stated.I was not at the meeting, but feel that this is warranted.Do you have something better to do with your time, Mr.Chamberlain? Are you a member of the school board to help or just to get what you want? I am appalled by the reference he made about "eager to move forward on the recommendations as outlined by the superintendent....Failure to move forward is detrimental to the continued vitality of the school corporation and the community.

- Hunting, Property Rights - Cable Subscriber - Medicaid Eligibility - REAL Services Thanks - Any Caliber Hunting, Property Rights Editor, Times-Union: On Jan.5, Barbara Kintzel and Mary Plew had letters printed in the Opinion section of the Times-Union about a hunting preserve near Pierceton.Their letters contained mostly false and/or misleading information, I was offended and appalled that they are spreading such erroneous information. Everyone who hunts in Indiana must follow laws set forth by Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The rules are specific that only certain caliber guns and types of bows are allowed.Sportsmen and sportswomen must abide by all regulations set forth by our state IDNR.
- Save Claypool School - Call Your Congressman Save Claypool School Editor, Times-Union: I am so happy to see the outpouring support to save our school.I know that the vote was completed, I was there.I also know that it is honorable to say you have made a mistake and slow down and think out a more sensible solution.Claypool Elementary is a great school, with a great staff and wonderful facilities. It is in a great location, and it seems illogical to just shut it down and move all those kids to an already overcrowded school.I went to Claypool all of my elementary years and am thrilled that my children are going to such a fine school.
- Dear President Bush - Keep Silver Lake School Dear President Bush Editor, Times-Union: Dear President Bush, Let me begin by saying, "Thank you for all that you are doing for this country and its people.May God continue to bless you and guide you in your struggle in this time of turmoil and tragedy." Mr.President, my reason for writing to you today is to ask that you remember the "small businesses" in this great nation and the contributions they make every day to the economy. When you think of an "economic stimulus package," remember us, the small companies that deliver the most impact to that economy. We are not a Ford Motor Company nor are we an IBM.However, as a group, small businesses do employ more people, pay more taxes and take greater risks than they do.

- Thief - Korean Duty - Infertility Treatment Thief Editor, Times-Union: I worked very hard picking raspberries.I use my extra money on one special thing every year, my horse or my kids. But this year, the honesty system failed only after three days of selling. So to whomever, thank you for making me so aware of people like you.You are unreal to come to my house in which you then walked right up to my table and took my can and all my hard-earned money. To everyone who was honest with me, thank you so much.I just wish there were more people out there like you. You must not have any idea what you go through to pick two pints to equal one raspberry pie.
- Good Samaritan - Response To Secession - Hunting And Farming - DNR Information Good Samaritan Editor, Times-Union: I would like to thank the wonderful man who plowed out my driveway on Sunday, Jan.23.Saturday evening the strong winds and the snowplows that were cleaning my road had closed the end of my driveway up pretty tight. Having asthma, I knew I wouldn't be able to shovel it out.Usually I can just drive my car back and forth and flatten it out with tire tracks, but it was just too full this time.So Sunday morning I was sitting in my living room praying to God that he would make the sunshine melt the snow before I had to leave for work Monday morning.
