Friday’s weather for the girls, and Saturday’s weather for the boys set the stage for fast fields among the running events at the IHSAA track and field championships last weekend. Field events, however, were the source of most of the area’s IHSAA state meet hardware.

Perfect conditions welcomed athletes to the IHSAA Boys Golf Sectional at Rozella Ford golf course Friday, in which six local area schools competed. The sectional was won by Columbia City, but Warsaw’s team as well as two local individuals finished the day as regional qualifiers.
