Last Monday Euchre Club Met

The Last Monday Euchre Club met at the Senior Center Monday. High winner was Pat Doyle. Low was June Reece and Mary Lou Laurino. Most lones was Marietta Sweetheimer. The next meeting will be Aug. 29 at the Warsaw Senior Center at 12:30 p.m.

Ramada Ladies Bridge Club Met

Pierceton Seniors Held Meeting

PIERCETON – The Pierceton Seniors met at the Senior Center July 18 at 6 p.m. for a carry-in supper and meeting. President Donna Werstler opened the program with the blessing for the meal. “God Bless America” was led by the Melloaires, the senior group.

Off The Shelf Reading Group To Meet

Off The Shelf Reading Group meets the first Thursday of every month at 2 p.m. in room A. This month, they took Ernest J. Gaine’s book “A Lesson Before Dying” off the shelf and they will discuss it Thursday.

Altrusa Int. Held Business Meeting

Altrusa International of Warsaw held its August business meeting Aug. 4 at the KCH Wellness Center, led by President Susan Woodward.

North Webster Bridge Group Played

NORTH WEBSTER – The North Webster Bridge group met at the Senior Primelife Enrichment Center in the North Webster Community Center Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday winners were Jane Moore, first, and Bill Patty, second. Winners Thursday were Richard Blank, first, and Barb Kieper, second.

Warsaw Rotary Club Met

The Warsaw Rotary Club met Aug. 5 at its regular meeting with Dr. William Katip, provost of Grace College and Seminary, sharing about new programs and enrollment at the school. The club collected $410 for the “Tools For School” program of Combined Community Services.

KC Duplicate Bridge Club Met

KC Duplicate Bridge Club met Tuesday with 13 teams attending. Winners were Melanie Kleinhans, Mike Petro and Suzie and Dan Shoemaker with June Stealy, Lila O’Connell, Peg Zimmerman and Mary Eherenman finishing second. Third Place went to Beth and Duane Huffer, Virginia and Terry Witzky, Mike Heimann and Geoffrey Hadlock.

Tippy Country Club Bridge Clubs Met

The Tippecanoe Lake Country Club Tuesday Night Couples Bridge met with winners Elaine and Jim Loser, first; Joe Tynan and Harry Preston, second; and Jean Dungan and Ruby Paul, third. The Wednesday Afternoon Ladies Bridge met and winners were Dottie Murphy, first; Ruby Paul, second; and Jean Dungan, third.

Singles Meeting Friends Gathered

The Singles Meeting Friends met with 16 people showing up for the meeting, and a 17th showing up afterward. They welcomed Todd, from Rochester, to the group.
