BOURBON — Athena Stenstrom's brother and his fiancee needed a photo booth for their wedding, but were having trouble finding one.
That caused Stenstrom to start her own business, Capture the Moments Photo Booth.
The Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon-cutting for the Bourbon-based company on Wednesday.
"I'm always taking pictures and figured I might as well do this and capture everyone else's moments," said Stenstrom of how the business started.
Capture the Moments provides a kiosk camera for photos at weddings, graduations and more. Stenstrom is currently offering an introductory rate of $300 for events held before July 1. That covers the camera for up to four hours.
There are also add-ons of a printer for $300, a backdrop for $50, up to 10 themed props for $25, an on-site attendant for $25 per hour with that amount increasing to $100 per hour after 10 p.m., with those also being introductory rates.
Stenstrom offers her services anywhere, but there is an additional fee if the location is more than 30 miles from Bourbon.
To book the business, people may call 574-305-0065 or email [email protected].
She said she hopes to provide customers "a fun, exciting experience and something memorable.
"We're excited to start doing business here," said Stenstrom.
