AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. announced the retirement of two long-serving educators, Layne Early and Lynette Mauger, whose combined 65 years of service have left a lasting impact on generations of students and colleagues, according to a news release from TVSC.
Early is retiring after 31 years of teaching, all of which he devoted to Tippecanoe Valley. Known for his commitment to student success and his passion for education, Early has been a cornerstone of the Valley community. As he steps into retirement, Early looks forward to traveling with his wife and embracing the next chapter of life with faith and anticipation, eager to see what God has in store for him, stated the release.
Mauger concludes a 34-year teaching career, with 32 of those years spent at Tippecanoe Valley. Her creativity, warmth and dedication have inspired countless students and fellow educators. In retirement, Mauger plans to travel, enjoy fishing, tackle home renovation projects, and explore the possibility of opening her own pottery studio — an exciting new venture that reflects her artistic spirit, stated the release.
To honor their contributions, TVSC will host a retiree celebration on Monday at Mentone Elementary School. The celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by retiree recognition at the start of the board meeting at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend and help celebrate the careers of these outstanding educators.
