Stephanie Godsey Appointed As Reentry Court Coordinator For Kosciusko County

The Kosciusko County Reentry Court announced Stephanie Godsey as its new Reentry Court coordinator, serving under the direction of Judge Karin McGrath.
Godsey, formerly of Bowen Health, brings extensive experience in behavioral health, forensic psychology and community rehabilitation, making her an invaluable addition to the program's mission of successful reintegration for formerly incarcerated individuals, according to a provided news release.
"I am incredibly excited to be part of this team,” said Godsey. “Connecting people with the resources they need after incarceration is key to reducing recidivism and leaving a life of addiction and crime behind. I am humbled to serve others on their journey to a positive reintegration to society. As a Kosciusko County resident, I am honored to do my part in serving this community."
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and pursuing a Master of Science degree in Forensic Psychology, Godsey has dedicated her career to addressing the complex challenges of mental health, addiction recovery and criminal justice reform, the release states. She also serves as the suicide/overdose fatality review coordinator for Marshall County HOPE, working to identify trends, develop prevention strategies and provide support for communities impacted by substance use and suicide-related fatalities.
“This is such a caring community,” Godsey stated. “I am looking forward to collaborating with individuals and other groups who are dedicated to providing support to those who are ready to change their lives in positive and powerful ways.”

The Kosciusko County Reentry Court provides judicial oversight, individualized treatment, resource coordination, employment and housing assistance, and other supports to promote stability and wellness for program participants. Under Godsey’s leadership, the court aims to expand its focus on mental health awareness, addiction recovery, and recidivism prevention, ensuring that participants have the necessary tools to rebuild their lives.
