Joel Robert Light, 76, Warsaw, died Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in the care of Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester.
He was born June 8, 1948, in Warsaw, to Vivian Bernice Enyeart and Robert Odell Light. Joel enlisted in the U.S. Army in April 1968. He served until his honorable discharge on Nov. 26, 1969, after serving in the Vietnam War and was also stationed in Germany.
Joel married Cynthia Sue Bayne on Dec. 16, 1967; she survives.
Joel’s life will be celebrated with a graveside service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Steven Rahn. Military rights will be conducted by members of the American Legion Post #49, V.F.W. #1126, both of Warsaw, and active-duty members of the Army Honor Guard. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
