The cause of a Sunday evening house fire remains under investigation.
According to Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Fire Marshal Jeremy Williams, the initial call for the house fire at 1443 Brookview Ave., Warsaw, came in at 4:11 p.m. Sunday.
It was determined the fire started on the exterior, but ran up into the attic.
Two adults were home at the time of the fire. Williams said there were no injuries or loss of life.
County records indicate the property is owned by Steve and Nancy Sausaman Trust.
Claypool and Winona Lake fire departments provided full assist with tanker trucks.
Firefighters were on scene for approximately three hours or less, he said.
While he didn’t have a damage estimate available as of today, Williams said the home wasn’t a total loss.
