North Manchester Gives $25K To Early Learning Center

NORTH MANCHESTER – At Wednesday night's meeting, the North Manchester Town Council voted to award the Manchester Early Learning Center (MELC) the requested $25,000 toward the Center's efforts.
This is a reduced request from 2024.
Council held a second public hearing for the downtown revitalization plan, copies of which are available for the public to review. No comments from the public were heard.
During the regular meeting, council heard representatives from local businesses Precision Medical Technologies, H&F Group, S&T Investments, Strauss Feeds and MPS who are seeking tax abatement certifications.
Council approved the tax abatements for the five businesses.
Council also:
• Approved a Baker Tilly contract for financial capabilities analysis not to exceed $10,000.
• Approved street closures for Manchester ALIVE events this year.
• Heard an update from Commonwealth Engineers and from attorney Dennis Otten who is handling the bond anticipation notes for the upcoming sewer improvement project.
There was a town docket of $787,270.97 and a utilities docket of $501,356.32.
Council will next meet June 4.
