Ivy Tech Fort Wayne & Kosciusko Celebrating Commencement May 9

May 7, 2025 at 9:44 p.m.

Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne and Kosciusko County is celebrating its 55th annual commencement ceremony on Friday at 7 p.m., and will graduate more than 2,000 students and award nearly 3,600 degrees, certificates and technical certificates.
The ceremony will be at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Ave., Fort Wayne.
Graduate Jennifer Byrkett will be representing the Class of 2025 by giving the student address. Brykett is earning a degree in surgical technology and is being honored as a Melvin L. Curtis Award nominee for the School of Health Sciences.
“Graduating is our accomplishment because we all made the decision to try,” said Brykett in her address. “As I was writing and thinking of what I would say, my 5-year-old daughter sat across from me, playing with her toys. It was in that moment that I knew I was happy that I made that decision to ‘try.’”
Graduates and guests are encouraged to share celebratory moments and follow along on social media with #IvyTechGrad on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. More information can be found at link.ivytech.edu/gradinfo.
