NAPPANEE - Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 17 as downtown Nappanee comes alive for the first-ever Experience Nappanee, a brand-new event celebrating everything that makes the community unique.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests are invited to explore the heart of Nappanee through local flavor, fun activities, live entertainment and more, according to a news release.
Designed to spotlight Nappanee’s vibrant small-town spirit, this event will feature live music on the main stage at the Depot parking lot with performances by John Gaut (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and Adrienne Frailey (1 to 4 p.m.) Throughout the day, buskers will bring spontaneous entertainment to street corners and sidewalks across town.
Families will enjoy the kids’ section near Hepler’s Barbershop, where local magician Kevin Long will amaze with strolling magic and balloon animals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Nappanee Arts Council (NAC) will add creative flair with interactive sidewalk chalk photo ops from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Guests can browse artisan vendors along Lincoln Street and enjoy delicious food from local food trucks stationed in the Depot lot.
Take part in a townwide scavenger hunt, experience the fun of a human slot machine and explore sidewalk sales from local shops.
The day wouldn’t be complete without the community favorite annual car show, where classic cars and showpieces line the streets for all to enjoy.
Whether you’re a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor, Experience Nappanee is your chance to discover all the charm, creativity and community spirit that defines this hometown favorite.
Admission is free, and all are welcome to join in a day full of music, magic, shopping, food and fun.
