Trailer A Total Loss In Sunday Fire

A trailer was a total loss after a Sunday afternoon fire, which also claimed the life of a puppy.
Plain Township Fire Department (Leesburg) Fire Chief Derek Tenney said they got the initial call at 4:45 p.m. Sunday for a fire at 3040 E. Levi Lee Road, lot 59, Warsaw, in Whispering Pines.
The cause of the fire was electrical and started in the middle of the home.
“We did notice charring of the electrical line,” he said.
The occupants were not at home at the time of the fire. Tenney said there were no injuries but a puppy did die in the incident. The home was owned by Janet See.
A passerby made the initial call of the fire.
The fire was brought under control by 5:25 p.m.
The occupants are receiving help from the American Red Cross and other agencies stepped up as well.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory provided a crew and tanker to assist, and the Milford Fire Department provided a full assist. Lutheran EMS, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources also were on hand.
