Charlotte Darleen Siegfried, 83, of Milford, passed away May 1, 2025, at Goshen Hospital.
Born Oct. 28, 1941, in Warsaw, to Donald and Barbara Anne Harman, she graduated from Warsaw High School in 1960 and attended Purdue University, where she met her husband, David Siegfried. They were married March 23, 1963, and shared 28 years together until his passing in July 17, 1991.
Charlotte served the Milford community as a longtime town clerk-treasurer and library employee. She was a devoted member of the Milford First Brethren Church, where she volunteered in many roles and helped create the church’s community meal program.
She is survived by her children, D. Paul (Ann) Siegfried, of Huntington; and Amanda Siegfried, of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Zachary Royal and Zoe (Gavin) Royal; sister, Carolyn Beigh; and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son-in-law and a brother-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 W. CR 900N, Milford, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Lee Compson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Milford Public Library, Milford First Brethren Church or Milford Food Bank.
