SOUTH BEND – Everwise Credit Union announced Jason “Jay” Gendics has been named to the newly created role of chief banking officer. In his position, Gendics leads the overall member service and sales activities for Everwise and oversees the strategy and operations for its retail banking and lending lines of business.
Gendics brings to Everwise more than 30 years of banking experience and leadership with large regional banks. Most recently, he served as executive vice president, consumer and business banking at Premier Bank in Youngstown, Ohio. In this role, Jay was responsible for management of the organization’s deposit portfolio and direct and indirect consumer loan portfolio. He also developed and implemented the strategic vision for consumer and business banking along with the execution of sales strategies.
Before joining Premier Bank, Gendics held management positions at Huntington National Bank, FirstMerit Corporation and National City Bank.

Gendics earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Brown University in Rhode Island and a Master of Business Administration in International Management from Baldwin-Wallace University of Ohio.
