Dane Alden Rumfelt, 79, Goshen, formerly of Milford, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Esther’s House, Center for Hospice, Elkhart.  
He was born Oct. 27, 1945, in Goshen, to Robert and Joy Biller Rumfelt. On Dec. 2, 1967, in Milford, he married Carol R. Beer Rumfelt.
Surviving are his wife, Carol, Goshen; daughter, Terri Rumfelt, Elkhart; son, Troy (Kelly) Rumfelt, Middlebury; three grandchildren: Zaryn, Cyndee and Karsyn Rumfelt; and brothers, Dennis Rumfelt, Goshen; and Donal “Don” (Taceile) Rumfelt, Syracuse.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Dane graduated from Milford High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Dane was a process engineer in the RV Industry. He was a member of the Crossroads Community Church, the American Legion and was a chaplain at Goshen Hospital. Dane enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, golfing and working in his shop.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m., with the funeral service following at 4 p.m. all on Sunday, May 4 at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor Tim Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery at 1 p.m. Monday, May 5.
