AKRON – Jerry L. Hartzler, 67, rural Akron, died on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at his residence.
Jerry was born on June 2, 1957, in Peru, Ind., to Jerome C. and Annetta E. Flook Hartzler. He was married on Jan. 17, 1976 in the Disko United Methodist Church to Debra A. Ihnen; she survives.
The funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 1 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor David Eaton officiating.
His interment will take place in the Athens Cemetery.
Visitation hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 31 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Henry Township Fire Department or to the Athens (Hoover) Cemetery.
