Norman Jay Miller

Norman Jay Miller, age 76, of Bourbon, passed away at 10:22 p.m. on Monday night, March 17, 2025, at his residence after an extended illness.  
He was born on Nov. 17, 1948, in Elkhart, to Irvin and Verna Yoder Miller. At the age of 19, Norman was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and courageously lived with the disease for over 50 years. Norman was a member of Clay Street Church in Bourbon. He loved to sing and loved the Lord. Above all, he loved his family and especially doted on his many nieces and nephews.
Norman is survived by five siblings: Janice Miller, of Bourbon; Nancy (Andy) Hostetler, of Etna Green; John (Esther) Miller, of Bourbon; Galen (Rebecca) Miller, of Bourbon; and Lynn Miller, of Bourbon; 18 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and -nephews. Norman was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 at Sandy Ridge Mennonite Church, 3085 7th Road, Bremen, and for one hour prior to a 10 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, March 20, also at Sandy Ridge Mennonite Church. Pastors Scott Burkholder, Patrick Overholt, and David Raber of Clay Street Church will officiate and burial will take place in Berea Mennonite Church Cemetery, Nappanee.
Memorial contributions in Norman’s name can be given to Harmony Care Hospice. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
