E. Gene Blanton, Claypool, died March 15, 2025, in Claypool.
He was born Jan. 25, 1944, in Jennys Creek, Leander, Ky., to Estill and Dorothy Caudill Blanton. On Oct. 3, 1962, he married Mary Sue Hopkins in Paintsville, Ky.
Visitation will be Friday, March 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with services to follow at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
The family kindly request memorial contributions be made to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2200 Provident Court, Warsaw, IN 46580 for funeral expenses.
