Indiana State Police Lt. Chad Larsh Promoted To Captain

MARSHALL COUNTY - Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott has promoted Lt. Chad Larsh to the rank of captain to serve as the Indiana State Police Area II captain.
In this role, Capt. Larsh will oversee the Toll Road, Fort Wayne and Bremen districts.
Capt. Larsh is a native of La Fontaine, and a 1990 graduate of Southwood High School. He went on to attend Vincennes University, earning an associate’s degree in industrial drafting.
Capt. Larsh is a graduate of the 52nd Indiana State Police Recruit Academy that graduated on June 4, 1995. He has spent his entire career assigned to the Bremen Post, working his way up the ranks first serving as a squad sergent from 2008-13 and then serving as Bremen Post District commander from 2013 until this most recent promotion. During his tenure as a trooper, Capt. Larsh has served as a field training officer, been on the ISP SWAT Team and served on the honor guard, and has been very involved in the Marijuana Eradication Program.
The Indiana State Police is a family affair for Capt. Larsh. His father, Duane Larsh, retired from the State Police after 21 years of service in 1986. Larsh’s father-in-law, Melvin Keplingerm also served in the Indiana State Police for 28 years, retiring in 1991.
Capt. Larsh and his wife, Michelle, reside in Kosciusko County. They have two adult sons.
