Joe L. Kintzel, 82, of Warsaw, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home of Warsaw, with his wife, Donna, and his son, Jim, at his side.
Joe was born on Oct. 27, 1942, to Leonard L. and Margery A. Adams Kintzel in Warsaw. He graduated from Atwood High School in 1960. He married Donna Miner on Dec. 4, 1963, in Etna Green Evangelical United Brethren Church and she survives. He worked for Creighton Brothers and the local kids could tell stories about catching chickens for Joe. He was a member of the Etna Green Methodist Church, the Atwood Lions Club and was an Etna Green volunteer fireman. He enjoyed farming, gardening and all animals, but especially chickens.
Joe is survived by his wife, Donna Kintzel, of Warsaw; his son, Jim (Aimee) Kintzel, of Warsaw; his grandchildren: Erin Kintzel (Justin Brumfield), of Warsaw; Chad Kintzel, of Warsaw; his great-grandchild, Bennett Kintzel; his sister, Dona Lou Lambright, of Ohio; and his brother, Jack Kintzel, of Warsaw.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Margery Kintzel.
Visitation services will be held on Thursday, March 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, and Friday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Etna Green Methodist Church, 131 W. Broadway St., Etna Green.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14 at 11 a.m. at Etna Green Methodist Church, 131 W. Broadway St., Etna Green, with Kevin Gray officiating.
The burial will take place in Etna Green Cemetery.
