Warsaw Community Public Library Board of Trustees reviewed statistics for 2024 patron usage during a meeting on Monday.
WCPL Executive Director Heather Barron noted increases in program attendance, study and meeting room usage and the total circulation of the library’s physical and digital items.
Each library cardholder was also estimated to have saved about $623 in 2024 by utilizing library services, totaling over $9.7 million saved for all cardholders.
With upcoming services, Barron said WCPL would soon be participating in the “Libraries with Heart” program, which would allow cardholders to check their blood pressure at the library.
WCPL will also host Francine’s Mobile Mammogram this fall and a Red Cross blood donation drive during the summer.
Barron also provided a brief update on future renovations at WCPL. She said the library’s administration, Luminaut, and the library’s bond council are currently working on finalizing schedules for the next two months. Luminaut is also determining cost estimates for projects in order to get those to bond council.
The board’s next meeting is at 4 p.m. April 14.
