Cody Carson, 32, tragically passed away in an automobile accident on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Elkhart.
Born in Hampton, Va., on June 20, 1992, Cody was the son of Russell and Sharon Hafer Carson. He attended Warsaw Community High School and was nominated “Prince” his freshman and senior prom. He graduated with the class of 2010.
He made Elkhart his home for the past seven years, working for Larri-Plast in Bristol in skid assembly for pallets. Cody was always a hard-working man, usually working three jobs at a time.
A kid at heart, he enjoyed putting Power Ranger and Transformers figurines and replicas together. He loved older classic cars like Mustangs and would enjoy modifying them in the garage.
Cody is deeply missed by his father, Russell (Elaine) Carson, of Leesburg; his mother, Sharon (Gale) Emmons, of Warsaw; his brothers, Rusty (Amy) Carson, of Warsaw; and Seth (Amber Bueno) Carson, of Claypool; his stepsiblings: Chris Miller, of Warsaw; Kimberlee (Rodney) Hebegger, of Warsaw; Anita (Bruce) Summers, of Warsaw; David Emmons, of Warsaw; Jarod Emmons, of Warsaw; and Jeff Emmons, of Elkhart. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and great-aunts and -uncles.
He was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel with Pastor William Whitaker officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to Autism Speaks c/o Donations Processing Center, Autism Speaks, P.O. Box 37148, Boone, IA 50037-0148.
