MENTONE – Roy “Smiley” Mabie, 81, of Mentone and formerly of the North Webster area, died at 7:20 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at Parkview Randallia Hospital of Fort Wayne.
Roy Mabie was born Sept. 8, 1943, in Goshen, to Gene E. and Louise Darr Mabie.
The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with Pastor Mark Eastway officiating. A private interment will take place in the Mentone Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Burket Bible Church or the Mentone United Methodist Church.
