Valley Future Farmers Of America Forestry Team Won State Title

On Dec. 14, the Valley FFA members competed in both the state Forestry and Entomology contest at Purdue University.  
The forestry team won the state title, earning them a trip to the national contest in Westin, W.Va., in late July this summer, according to a news release from Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation.
Team members were Aaron Backus (fourth high individual), Lillian Dunbar (fifth high individual) Keith Haney (seventh high individual), and Sienna Holder. The team is coached by Michael Jones
Also, the Entomology team placed seventh out of 49 teams. The team was led by Trista Van Doren (sixth high individual), Aaron Babbitt, Temperance Caudill and Guadelupe Jimenez Baca. The team is coached by Hope Slagle.
