Cathy Craig, of Dewart Lake, Syracuse, and formerly of Brazil, Ind., passed away on Jan. 21, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne at the age of 70.
Born on June 5, 1954, she was the daughter of Hershel and Opal Norton Hershner. Cathy worked as a dispatcher for Brazil, Ind., for 10 years before moving to North Webster and worked for the North Webster Police for 17 years.
Cathy will be deeply missed by her husband, Jerry; son, Seth Nestleroad; granddaughter, Alicia Nestleroad; great-grandsons, Maverick and Franklin Jones; and siblings: Sharon (Dan), Tom (Jan) and Steve (Pat). She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Kershner.
Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services of North Webster, 8056 E. CR 500N, North Webster, is entrusted with Cathy's care. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home, 8056 E. CR 500N, North Webster, on Friday, Jan. 31 from 4 until 6 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. Cathy will be laid to rest at Mock Cemetery in North Webster on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund, 1101 Park Ave., Winona Lake, IN 46590.

Editor, Times-Union: I’ve heard folks say I have prime farmland. What I haven’t heard mentioned are the eleven towers scattered across it - eleven towers that you have to till, plant, and harvest around. Heaven forbid you hit one. Planes that spray my fields can’t hit the full area because of these obstacles. I’ve got four irrigation units running to irrigate the best I can, where normally two would suffice.

Those projects are now complete. Yet the tax remains.
