Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department Superintendent Larry Plummer provided that information to the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Board at its meeting on Tuesday, while giving the 2024 year-end report. The net revenue stands at $140,467.76.
The amount includes funds from campground rentals, seasonal rentals and year-round rentals. It doesn't include the $67,667 from general revenue from parks' programs, donations, sponsorships and grants.
The department also reported 23,119 people took part in its 2024 events, which include the country music concert, classic rock concert, Summer Concert Series, free community programs and fee-based programs.
Plummer also noted work highlights from the year, including "improvements at the Zimmer Biomet Center Lake Pavilion (and) upgrades to the Center Lake Recreational Trail."
Other projects in 2024 included "resurfacing of the Boggs basketball court (and) camera installation at Central Park," said Plummer.
Warsaw Parks and Recreation Board members and Warsaw Mayor Jeff Grose praised Plummer and parks' staff for the accomplishments.

Plummer said their cases are going through the court system currently and the department should get restitution.
Plummer said after the meeting the group included both minors and young adults.
The board's next meeting is planned for 5:15 p.m. Feb. 18 at Warsaw City Hall.
