NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING
TO ACCEPT SEALED BID OFFERS
FOR PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY
FROM THE TOWN OF PIERCETON, INDIANA
Notice is hereby given , pursuant to Indi ana Code Section 5-22-22-5, 5-22-22-11 and 5-3-2-1(e), that the Town ofPierceton, Indiana, has approved the acceptance of sealed bid offers to purchase a certain 2015 Ford Fusion, YIN 1FM5K8AB3RGA50969with mileage of 142,861, owned by the Town of Pierceton and operated by the Pierceton Police Department. Further that pursuant to Indiana Code Section 5-22-22-9, the purchaser may be required to repaint such vehicle in a monochrome color scheme or in a color scheme that does not duplicate the color scheme of an Indiana law enforcement vehicle, and the prospective purchaser will be provided a copy of said code section upon notice of a successful bid.
Additional information is available in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Pierceton, at 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana.
Sealed bid offers shall be submitted to the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Pierceton, at 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana, with a mailing address of P. O. Box 496, Pierceton, IN 46562, and must be submitted by February 10, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at which time the sealed offers shall be received by the Town Council at a public hearing thereon.
Offers should be sealed and will be opened at a public hearing to be held on February 10. 2025, by the Town Council at 6:30 p.m. at the Pierceton Community Building located at 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana.
The Pierceton Town Council reserves the right to and may accept an offer as provided by statute, take the offers under advisement or reject all offers.
