January 12, 2025 at 3:29 p.m.

David A. LaRue, 79, passed away in his home on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025.
Born in Warsaw on June 5, 1945, David was the son of Walter and Maudie Bell LaRue. He graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1963.
David married the love of his life, Connie L. Morris, on March 3, 1973, in the Methodist Church in Claypool.
David worked for 32 years as a salesman for Lake City Wholesale, retiring at the age of 60. He made many lasting friendships.
He was a member of the NRA for over 30 years as he was an avid shooter and was trained as an instructor under Col. Jeff Cooper. He taught many people gun safety as well as being an instructor for Cowboy Shoots and Steel Plate Shoots. He was associated with numerous gun stores and ranges.
The couple traveled all over the country and enjoyed listening to Elvis. They even renewed their vows in the Elvis Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas for their 25th wedding anniversary. It broke his heart deeply when their marriage of 51 one years ended on April 17, 2024, when Connie passed away. He had very dear relationships with his many nieces and nephews.
David is survived by his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Marcille Carter, of Alexandria, La.; Sharodene Morris, of Warsaw; and Don “Bub” (Donna) Morris, of Claypool; and most lovingly missed by her dear nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Connie; and his siblings, Barbara and Richard “Dick” Morris.
Per his wishes, no formal services will be held.
