Main Channel Marina Acquires Socks Marina In North Webster

SYRACUSE - Main Channel, the area’s largest full-service marina, announced its acquisition of Socks Marina in North Webster.
This strategic acquisition will strengthen and expand Main Channel’s commitment to sales and service of the best brands on the water, according to a provided news release.
Main Channel on Lake Wawasee is known for its boating services, including boat sales, maintenance, storage, high-quality brands and a customer-first approach to recreational boating, the news release states. By including Socks Marina into its operations, Main Channel will expand its geographic footprint and continue to elevate the boating experience in North Webster and surrounding communities.
Jason Cripe, president of Main Channel, stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Socks Marina to the Main Channel family. Socks Marina has been a trusted name in the North Webster area, and this expansion allows us to combine their legacy of customer care with our resources and expertise. Together, we will deliver an even higher level of service to boaters in the area.”
About inventory, Cripe stated, “We look forward to adding our industry leading brands to Socks’ which include Bennington, Godfrey, Malibu, Axis, Hurricane, Cobalt, Regal, Sea Doo and Sea Pro brands, we’re equally thrilled to added Viaggio Pontoon’s and Smoker Craft to our overall product offerings.”
Dino Coverstone, Socks owner, said, “Jeannie and I have been wanting to retire for several years. We believe Main Channel is the right group to carry on the Socks name and legacy. Over the years we’ve made many friends and worked tirelessly to increase the level of services for Webster Lake and the surrounding area. We’re equally pleased Main Channel plans to retain all existing staff.”
The acquisition brings enhanced opportunities for local boaters, including access to an expanded inventory of leading boat brands, top-tier service offerings and additional storage solutions, the release states. Customers of both marinas can expect a seamless transition as operations merge. Main Channel Marina remains dedicated to serving the local boating community with quality, convenience and innovation, and this acquisition marks a significant milestone in its growth.
