Clell Rowe, of Silver Lake, went home to be with his Lord and reunited with his loving wife at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, at the age of 90.
He was born on March 12, 1934, in Mount Vernon, Ky., to Jack and Lena Mae Garrett Rowe. After relocating to the Warsaw area, he met and married Martha Joanne Hyde in Jellico, Tenn., on Sept. 10, 1959. They shared 54 years of marriage together before Joanne passed away on June 8, 2014.
Clell proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class. He was a resident of Kosciusko County since 1958 and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County in Claypool. Clell moved from his hometown to the Indianapolis, Indiana, area where he worked as a carpenter. He was promoted and asked to relocate to the Warsaw area to become a supervisor and entrusted to oversee the many farm buildings being built. Later he became a day and then second shift supervisor for DaLite Screen in Warsaw for over 25 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a Sprint and NASCAR enthusiast, loved fishing and enjoyed owning and collecting cars in general. He was known to drive a different car every single day of the week! Clell will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.
He will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters: Brenda Rowe, Marietta, Ga.; Judy Rowe, Silver Lake; Teresa (husband Fred) Parsons, Fort Wayne; son, Tony (wife Lisa) Rowe, Claypool; granddaughter, Brittany Rowe, Silver Lake; and great-granddaughter, Elena Joanne Rowe, Silver Lake.
