Warsaw Man Arrested After Allegedly Inappropriately Touching A Child

A Warsaw man was arrested after allegedly touching a child less than 16 years old.
Salomon Chavarria Centeno, 45, of 814 E. Arthur St., Warsaw, is charged with sexual misconduct with a minor, a level 5 felony.
He was booked into the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office at 11:28 a.m. Thursday on a $5,250 preliminary bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Feb. 27 Kosciusko County Dispatch advised law enforcement a child was inappropriately touched by Centeno.
A Warsaw Police Department officer spoke with a man who said they saw the child was visible upset. The child said Centeno tried to touch them. The child told the man Centeno offered the child money. The man said Centeno looked “not in the right way” at the child multiple times.
On Feb. 27, the child was forensically interviewed at the Safe Harbor Advocacy Center. The child said they knew they were to talk about Centeno. The child said Centeno touched her and described where. Centeno told the child not to say anything or something bad would happen.
