WINONA LAKE — Grace College will host best-selling author, international speaker and leadership guru Dr. Tim Elmore for an upcoming leadership event on his new book “A New Kind of Diversity.”
The event is being hosted in partnership with Leaders on Fire, which exists to ignite transformation in the hearts of leaders so they can transform workplace culture, elevate team performance and create purposeful profit, according to a news release from Grace. The $15 event is open to the public and will take place on March 17 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Manahan Orthopedic Capital Center, 610 Wooster Road, Winona Lake.
"I am thrilled to have Dr. Tim Elmore speak to our community,” said President Dr. Drew Flamm. “I was able to intern under his leadership many years ago, but his leadership insights and the impact of his mentorship continue to play an important role in my professional journey."
At the event, Elmore will unpack the topic of “A New Kind of Diversity,” which focuses on making the different generations on your team a competitive advantage. From building stronger teams to understanding how different generations view the world, Elmore will share powerful insights that will help the workplace connect with purpose, the release states.
"Workplaces today often have three to four generations attempting to work together,” said Elmore. “Frequently, the generation gap is wide. People can become frustrated instead of fascinated with each other and production goes down. The book and the event address how to bring out the very best in every generation."
Elmore has authored more than 30 books and trained thousands of leaders in nationally renowned organizations such as Delta, Home Depot, the National Football League and the U.S. Department of Justice.
