Land Donation

Editor, Times-Union:
It was exciting to read in Saturday’s The Weekender edition of the city accepting 10.75 acres of donated land south of Warsaw Cut Glass. Even more exciting was the forward thinking of Warsaw’s city leadership imagining ACRES Land Trust enhancing the property with a boardwalk for people to enjoy while preserving the land in perpetuity. Such an outcome will be a win-win for our citizenry and the environment.
Hats off to city leaders mentioned in the article: Mayor Jeff Grose, Community and Economic Development Director Jeremy Skinner, City Planner Justin Taylor, Councilwoman Diane Quance, attorney Scott Reust, Warsaw Clerk-Treasurer Lynne Christiansen, and board member George Clemens. All are to be applauded and appreciated for answering the door when opportunity like this knocks.
